After School Program
The After-School Program seeks to provide a safe, supportive and structured environment that supports overall health, well-being and enriches the lives of the children in the community. Our program looks to enhance parent involvement, in doing so; we support families in their efforts to reach their goals. The After-School Program will maintain and continue to communicate and collaborate with daytime teachers to be in accordance with teaching techniques.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday:
3:15 PM- 6:00 PM
Wednesday:
1:45 PM- 6:00 PM

What time am I allowed to pick up my child from the After-School Program?
We encourage all After-School Program students to stay the entire time while in the program. Although there are exceptions regarding early release. parents must complete an Early Release Policy whenever a student is picked up before 6:00 PM due to: doctor's, dentist, and health appointments, or too dark to walk home.
Is my child permitted to arrive late to the After-School Program in order to receive tutorials from his/her tutor?
Yes! Our program encourages students to participate in after-school sponsored clubs, sports, and teacher tutorials. All students are allowed to arrive at After-School Program at the conclusion of their respective school functions.
Does my child have to attend the program on a daily basis?
Yes, too many absences in one month may put your child at risk of being dropped from the program.
When is the program open?
The After-School Program is open on all days that A.E. Mills is open for daily instruction, except the first and the last day of school.
Who can attend A.E. Mills After-School Program?
Those 3rd through 5th grade students who are enrolled at A.E. Mills during daily instruction may register to join the After-School Program.
